Donate a Hymnal (Last Day!)

Today, February 18, is the last day to donate hymnals! Due to such a generous congregation, we will soon reach our limit on the number of Glory to God hymnals we will purchase for the Sanctuary. Thank you to all who have donated so far! If you have not given one yet, and would like to donate one, please do so before 5 p.m. today, Monday, February 18. We will accept orders that we receive in the mail in the next few days that were sent before 5:00 p.m. today. After that time, we will not accept orders for hymnals.

A Cookie Exchange!

A Cookie Exchange in February? Yes! On Sunday, February 10, the Congregational Life Committee is sponsoring a cookie exchange during the 10:30 a.m. Coffee Hour in the Social Hall. All you need to do is bring two dozen cookies of your choice and you’ll go home with a bag of totally different cookies. Sounds easy? It is! If you want to decorate or shape the cookies since Valentine’s Day is soon to follow, all the better. But if you are not so inclined, just bring your favorite batch to share. For more information, contact Gail Grady, Congregational Life Committee member.

Service of Wholeness and Healing

Join us for a service of wholeness and healing in Monteith Hall on Wednesday, November 14, at 7:00 p.m. As a nation, as a church, within our families, and personally, we are bearing burdens, wounds, and griefs. Christ calls us together for a service of prayer, music, silence, and meditation, as we seek God‘s healing love. This service is open to all.

Welcome Rev. Jenny McDevitt to First Pres

First Pres warmly welcomes Rev. Jenny McDevitt as our guest and preacher on Sunday, October 28 at 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 a.m. Jenny McDevitt has served Senior Pastor and Head of Staff at Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church since April, 2018. She delights in the long, rich history of the congregation and the fast-paced wonder of New York City. A storyteller at heart, Jenny loves preaching. She’s even happier, however, listening to a good story, especially if its yours. Prior to MAPC, Jenny served at Village Presbyterian Church outside of Kansas City as Pastor of Pastoral Care for six years.

From 1976 to 2007 he was employed at the Ann Arbor District Library, first as assistant cataloger, then as head of the Technical Services Department and finally as Music Specialist for the Library.
