Messy Living Art Workshop

Join us Friday, March 8 from 5:00-7:30 p.m. in the Social Hall, as we discover Christ in the mess – specifically a hands-on, intergenerational evening of messy food, messy art, and messy life that we create together. A dinner of hot dogs, fruit, and chips will be offered for $4/person, or $12 maximum/nuclear family. Guest Preacher Rev. Larry Farris - March 3

On Sunday, March 3 at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. we welcome guest preacher Rev. Larry Farris back to our pulpit. Larry served as our interim pastor from 2005-2007. Larry is a pastor, preacher, teacher (theology, biblical interpretation, world religions, and composition), spiritual director, pastoral coach, and writer. He served Presbyterian churches in Annapolis, Maryland; Okemos and Three Rivers, Michigan, and prior to retirement, served as Interim Pastor here at First Pres, Ann Arbor, followed by First Presbyterian Church, Schoolcraft, Michigan.

Compassionate Organizations with Dr. Jane Dutton

On Sunday, February 17 at 11:00 a.m. and 12:15 p.m., our Adult Education group offers two outstanding opportunities to learn more about "Compassionate Organizations" and the power of positive relationships from our own Dr. Jane Dutton. Jane and her colleagues at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan have done groundbreaking work on the power of healthy relationships, compassionate organizations and positive work cultures. February 24: Rev. George Lambrides & Youth Sunday

At 8:00 and 11:00 a.m. worship on February 24 we welcome Rev. George Lambrides, who will preach on “Interfaith Connections.” He will focus on what it means to him to live in a multi-religious society, discussing his own “call” to connect with the multi-religious population in Washtenaw County. Rev. Lambrides is the Co-Director of the Interfaith Round Table of Washtenaw County, an organization that helps create a local culture of understanding and inclusion through education, dialogue and shared practices.
