Local Mission Grant Program

The First Presbyterian Local Mission Community Grant Program received 22 applications this year (2024) from nonprofit organizations and ministries that care for and protect vulnerable people in Washtenaw County and Metro Detroit.  The grant program wishes to partner with organizations whose programs address the disparities that keep people in poverty, and we value groups that tackle structural social inequities and build strong communities.

Recipients received a $6,000 award that specifically reduced poverty by addressing disparities in access to:

  •       Mental Health/ Substance Abuse Treatment
  •       Academic Success and/or Stable Employment
  •       Stable Shelter and Affordable Housing

Congratulations to the following 2024 Recipients of the Local Mission Grant:

Thank you so much to all of the Local Grant Committee members who reviewed all 22 of the applications and considered how best to support the organizations in our community and utilize FPC resources. Your time and efforts are very much appreciated!
