Guest Speaker:
Scott Roberts, Ph.D.

Although some degree of cognitive change comes with aging and is normal, more significant changes may point toward something more serious. What is it that your loved one is experiencing? Is it normal aging, or could it be mild cognitive impairment or dementia? What can we do to maintain our brain health as we age? What are the risk factors? These issues and more will be covered by our speaker Dr. Scott Roberts, in his presentation, “Dementia and Brain Health,” on Monday, January 9, at 7:00 p.m. Join us in person or online.

Scott Roberts, PhD, MA, is associate director of the National Poll on Healthy Aging, which is focused on elevating the voices of Americans aged 50 to 80 on various aging-related topics to better inform healthcare research, policy, and practice. He is a professor in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education at the UM School of Public Health. He leads the Outreach, Recruitment, and Engagement Core of the NIH-funded Michigan Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. His aging-related interests include public education about dementia, disclosure of genetic and biomarker information for Alzheimer’s disease, and development of mental health interventions for older adults.
