On University Sunday, September 10, we welcome to the pulpit Dr. Jonathan Alger, president of James Madison University in Virginia. Dr. Alger’s message is titled "The Head and the Heart," exploring the connections between faith and our daily work.
Dr. Alger is, in his words, a "recovering lawyer," having worked previously in the legal offices at the University of Michigan and Rutgers. While at Michigan, Jon was a member and ruling elder at First Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir. He and his wife Mary Ann are lifelong Presbyterians and the proud parents of Eleanor, a first-year student at Miami University (Ohio).
