Mature Ministries Trip to Meadow Brook Hall

Thursday, July 28, 2016

On Thursday, July 28 travel with us by chartered bus to Rochester for a trip to one of America’s great historic houses, Meadow Brook Hall. Built for the Dodge family on the eve of the Great Depression, this 110-room estate survives as the fourth largest historic home in the United States. Our outing will include a guided tour through many of the fully furnished rooms, a catered lunch, a welcome from Meadow Brook’s Director, and a presentation on the Dodge family’s Presbyterian faith by the Curator. Those seeking an upstairs/downstairs fix following the end of Downton Abbey will find it here – a truly remarkable house and a compelling family story. Transportation and admission will be provided by the Mature Ministries program. Lunch will be $20, paid in advance. Buses leave Ann Arbor at 9:30 a.m. and return around 3:30 p.m.

Did you know that a very young Frank Sinatra appeared as featured entertainer at a family birthday party in Meadow Brook Hall’s music gallery? Join us for lunch in the same space this summer and become part of the ongoing story of Meadow Brook Hall. Make your reservation today!
