Ludwigs and McGills Visit

Sunday, June 16, 2019

Niger Mission Day at First Pres! Michael and Rachel Ludwig and their children will be here along with new Niger Co-worker Jodi McGill on Sunday, June 16. There will be a presentation by the co-workers at 11:00 a.m. followed by lunch at noon. Everyone is welcome to join us for these activities and hear about the progress being made in one of the poorest countries in the world. Also, at 1:00 p.m. there will be a meeting with Jodi McGill on her specific funding needs and future plans with her participation in a new Nursing School.

Niger... A Possible NEW International Mission Team

In the same country as PC(USA) Co-workers Michael and Rachel Ludwigs (Niger), PC(USA) Co-workers Jim and Jodi McGill have been devoted to two projects. Jodi works with a new nursing school and Jim with WaSH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene). Church member Cheong-Hee Chang recently visited Niger, met the McGills and Ludwigs and learned about their work as well as student hosting centers. At the 2018 Mission Bazaar, we raised funds to help support a similar student hosting center near the Ludwigs’ town, Maradi.

To initiate the Niger Mission Team, we will invite the Ludwigs on June 16 to learn more about their work in Niger. Cheong-Hee will introduce the work of McGills. Please join us to be part of a possible new NIGER Mission Team. Learn about the projects and what First Pres can do to work with one of the least developed countries in the world. Please contact Cheong-Hee (heechang@ umich.edu) if you have any questions.
