Delonis Center Volunteers

Every Wednesday, volunteers from First Pres help staff from the Food Gatherers Community Kitchen (FGCK) to prepare and serve meals to more than 100 persons in the Ann Arbor community who may not get enough to eat on a regular basis. You can indicate the Wednesdays that you would like to serve on the sign up form, and if you would prefer to serve on other days of the week (outside of First Pres' "regular" day), please email Eric Marria at

If you wish to help prepare the meal, please plan to arrive at the Delonis Center at 2:55 p.m. or so (North of Huron, West of First - view a map here). If you wish to help serve the meal, please arrive at 4:55 p.m. or so. You can park in the surface lot bordered by Huron, Washington, First, and Ashley. Keep your parking ticket when you enter the Delonis Center, as they will cover two hours of free parking with a sticker (from the front desk) that you can pick up and attach to your ticket when you are done with your shift. Enter the Delonis Center through the double doors at the front, and head back to the kitchen, where you can ask for Paula or Eric from Food Gatherers. If you have not volunteered before, they will give you an orientation. Please wear a covering for your hair (hat, hairnet, etc.), and clothes that you are not afraid to get dirty.
