The Healthy Church: H1N1 Flu shots

We encourage people in high risk priority groups to take advantage of the Department of Public Health's H1N1 flu vaccine clinic. The vaccine is free, on a first come, first served basis. However, this clinic is only for individuals who meet the following high risk criteria:
-Pregnant women
-People who live with or provide care for infants younger than six months
-Health care and emergency medical services peronnel with direct patient care
-Children 6 months through 4 years of age

Be prepared: Flu shots available Thursday, October 15

Anyone who has suffered flu can tell you it's best avoided, especially for older people. Seasonal flu and pneumonia vaccinations will be given at First Pres on Thursday, October 15, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Founders and Curtis Rooms. Please sign up in the church office, 662-4466.  Michigan Visiting Care (MVC) will provide the immunizations to people 18 years or older.  The cost of the flu shot is $33; pneumonia shots are $83. MVC accepts Medicare Part B. Medicare Advantage Plan, HAP, Blue Care Network, and Priority Health insurance. Please bring your insurance cards.
