Parish Nurse Taking Summer Leave

Martine Blogin, our Parish Nurse, will be taking a leave of absence this summer from June 16 to August 31. As always, the pastors will be available to care for needs as they arise.

Blood pressure screening

On Sunday, August 9, stop by the Parish Nurse's office (300 level, next to the Curtis Room) from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. to have your blood pressure taken by First Pres nurses.

Adapted Exercise Class begins February 26

The Parish Nurse/Pastoral Care programs and The Ann Arbor Parkinson Support Group are excited to offer a new exercise program for persons with movement disorders (Parkinson's disease, tremor disorders, strokes, etc.). This 8-week program will begin on Thursday, February 26, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Curtis Room at First Presbyterian. Registration will begin at 2:30 p.m.

CPR Classes Offered at First Pres

Are you prepared to help during a medical emergency? Martine Blogin, parish nurse, will teach adult/child/infant CPR and AED classes to our congregation. There will be a nominal fee to cover the cost of supplies. Please contact Martine Blogin at 662-4466, ext. 26, or mblogin@firstpresbyterian.org if you are interested in arranging a class, or in joining a group to be scheduled in March.

Had your blood pressure checked recently?

Beginning December 14, blood pressure monitoring will be offered at First Pres on the second Sunday of every month. Parish Nurse Martine Blogin, RN, will be available on second Sundays from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. to check your blood pressure and offer heart health information. See her in her office on the third floor, by the Curtis Room.
