Peeps and Pizza Fair

Saturday, March 25, 2017

Team up with family and friends on Saturday, March 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Social Hall and create your own Bible story shoe box diorama using those “Crazy Marshmallow Peeps.” A pizza lunch will be served at noon.

What is the Peeps and Pizza Fair? Well, do you remember when you were a kid in elementary school and your teacher had you create a shoe box diorama to illustrate some event in history? This is the same idea.

Here's how it works

  1. You and members of your family or a group of friends pick your favorite Bible story.
  2. Think about how you might recreate this Bible story in a shoe box diorama using Peeps and any other materials you might like.
  3. The church will supply the marshmallow Peeps, a variety of shoe boxes, tables to work on, construction paper, scissors, glue, some extra crafting supplies and great refreshments.
  4. If you want to use a gummy worm?, or fabric?, or plant material?, or your own shoe box? or anything else?.....bring those things along that morning.
  5. Then, on Saturday morning March 25, bring your favorite Bible story and your creative ideas for a fun imaginative morning here at church.
  6. Make a reservation for the pizza lunch so we know how much pizza to order --- Debbie MacVey at dmacvey@firstpresbyterian.org or 662-4466. Lunch will be $5 per person.

The dioramas will be on display on Sunday morning March 26 for all to see.
