Massive Gulf coast flooding calls for Presbyterian hands and hearts to step in. You can help by supporting Presbyterian Disaster Assistance who has sent a team of disaster recovery coordinators to the Baton Rouge area to plan for rebuilding efforts. You may find out more about our Presbyterian response to Gulf flooding and you may donate directly to PDA here — https://pma.pcusa.org/donate/make-a-gift/gift-info/DR000191/?appeal=PDA&package=DAWeb — or you may send a check to First Pres with "Louisiana Flooding" in the memo line.

If you are interested in traveling to Louisiana to volunteer with recovery efforts, please contact Rev. Jay Sanderford at jsanderford@firstpresbyterian.org. A group from First Pres will likely join forces with Detroit Presbytery later this year. Even as we work and pray one behalf of flood victims in Louisiana, we are mindful of all the many disasters and crises that plague our nation and world.
