All women of the church are considered members of Presbyterian Women (PW) and are cordially invited to participate in any or all of our activities.

A Peek at Our Church's Past - May 15 (Lewis Room)
10:45 a.m. - FPC Archives and History, presented by members Larry and Pearl Summers. Larry and Pearl are special speakers since they were awarded PW Lifetime Honorary Membership last year.
This is also our Annual Meeting when 2013-2014 PW Officers will be installed and our 2013 PW Lifetime Honorary recipient will be announced and honored. Outging Officers will be recognized and thanked. Please join us for this special morning.
Bible Study precedes our program at 9:30 a.m. in the Lewis Room. Barbara Black will lead us in a discussion of Lesson 9 of the Horizon's Bible Study of the Epistles. New people always encouraged. Summer 2013
PW and W.E.B.S. - Wednesday Presbyterian Women (PW) sessions and Women's Evening Bible Study (W.E.B.S.) begin their summer schedule. PW suspends meetings June, July and August. W.E.B.S. will not meet in July and August.
Bible Study - Our 2013-2014 Bible Study will be "An Abiding Hope: The Presence of God in Exodus and Dueteronomy." Contact Judy Slade (jaslade@comcast.net) to sign up to lead a session for Wednesday PW and/or Monday W.E.B.S., or to get a Horizons Study Book.
Yearbook - The PW Yearbook (which lists the Programs and Bible Study for 2013-2014, and PW Officers) will be available in the church office in August. Pick one up then!
Monthly Gatherings
Presbyterian Women gather on the third Wednesday of each month, unless otherwise noted. The general monthly schedule includes
- Bible study in Monteith Hall from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
- The featured program for the month in Monteith Hall from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m.
- Lunch in the Social Hall from noon to 1:00 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to attend any portion of the programs.
Circles of Presbyterian Women
Women's Evening Bible Study (WEBS)
Meetings are held the first Monday of the month at 7:00p.m. in the Curtis Room. The group uses the Horizons Bible Study Book "Dispatches to God's Household: The General Epistles". All women are welcome. Contact Sue Dempsey at 734-769-0566.
Women's Reading Group
This group meets the second Wednesday of the month, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. in members' homes. Locations are announced in the newsletter and bulletin, and on our blog. Contact Meg Brown at (734) 623-4323.
Additional Groups for Women
Knit Night
All knitters, experienced or inexperienced, are welcome. Meetings are on the second Friday of the month, 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. in the Curtis Room, September-May. This group provides shawls for shut-ins and baby blankets for new babies at First Presbyterian, and for Mott Hospital. New knitters are welcome to come and learn from experienced members, working from simple patters. Devotions and tea provided. Contact Georgia Goodman, ggoodman@juno.com.
Moms' Bible Study
This group meets September-May on the second and fourth Thursdays, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. for coffee and Bible Study. A Lilly Minister-in-Residence leads this group of mothers with children of all ages who gather for Bible study and application to life Books of the Bible for study are chosen by the group along with the facilitator.
