The Norfolk Mission Team will be commissioned on Sunday, June 13, at the 9:30 a.m. service. Twenty-eight high schoolers and eight adults are driving to Norfolk, Virginia, to rehab flood-damaged town homes of lower income residents of Norfolk. Our team will be joined by mission teams from University Presbyterian Church, Rochester Hills, and former Lilly Resident Minister Rev. Aaron Janklow’s new church, First Presbyterian Church of Delray Beach, Florida. Rev. Jim Monnett, our Director of Youth Ministry, is leading the entire 68-person mission group in Norfolk. The team is encouraged to wear their orange trip t-shirts, designed by senior Jillian Tripp, to the commissioning.
