Military Veterans who are members of First Presbyterian, or are local ROTC college students, will be forming a group, tentatively called Military Veterans Friendship and Support. The purpose of the group is to provide outreach and visitation with local veterans, and outreach, friendly visiting, and support to those who are currently serving, or recently discharged from the military. The group will meet monthly to coordinate visits with patients in VA facilities, to organize social events for hospitalized veterans, or for their own fellowship, prayer, and Bible study. The group will develop details of the program in the early meetings. The first meeting of this group will be held Sunday, July 18, in the Founders Room. All military veterans are invited to attend.
