House of Faith 2012

Dedication - May 20th at 4 p.m.
The House of Faith 2012 is essentially completed and it looks wonderful! THANK YOU to all the volunteers for your work these last few months. There will be a dedication ceremony on Sunday May 20, at 4:00 p.m. Volunteers, please plan on attending! Crystal Cummings and herfamily are extremely excited about moving into their first home. She wants to thank each of us for our work and contributions to this significant event in the life of her family. Thank you for making it easy to coordinate this large project. Your willingness to sign up AND show up makes it a relatively easy task. - Don “The Tool Man” Redding
1219 Gault Ypsilanti
Located in the Nancy park neighborhood in Ypsilanti, this foreclosed house is waiting for the congregation of First Presbyterian Church to help turn it into a home for Crystal Cummings and her family.
The demolition part of this home restoration mission will be on February 2, 3, and 4th.
In early March, after Team Habitat has made electrical and plumbing upgrades, and installed new mechanicals, we will begin installing cabinets, sidig, painting, and insulating assuring that this home will be an energy star rated home.
Last year First Pres was the major contributor and volunteer organization in a similar project in the same area. This year we will again play a major role. Last year our organization was recognized as having the best work crews and most complete staffing each day.
