Habitat - House of Faith 2012
The House of Faith 2012 is completed and it looks wonderful! THANK YOU to all the volunteers for your work these last few months. Crystal Cummings and her family are extremely excited about being in their first home. She wants to thank each of us for our work and contributions to this significant event in the life of her family. Thank you for making it easy to coordinate this large project. Your willingness to sign up AND show up makes it a relatively easy task. - Don “The Tool Man” Redding

In 2011 First Pres provided a $20,000 grant through the Jeane Seeley Fund that launched the House of Faith, and gave Habitat the foundation needed to recruit seven additional congregations and sponsor an entire home. 2011's home was located at 1174 Gault and is now the home of the Hickenbottom family. In 2012 the Jeane Seeley fund designated $8,000 for the 2012 House of Faith project at 1219 Gault. $4,000 has been designated for 2013.
A Poem by Crystal Cummings

Seven months has come so fast
I remember praying how long will I last.
It was like yesterday no walls, or doors
let’s not forget the hardwood floors.
From bricks to wall, nails to screws
nothing would have been accomplished
without the volunteer crews.
The man that led us all, his name is Paul.
I’m blessed. I’m thankful. I’m happy inside.
I’m holding back my tears
because I have already cried.
The House of Faith is a new start.
I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart!
- Crystal Cummings
