Blue Lake youth symphony and choir to perform Elijah

A complete performance of Felix Mendelssohn's choral oratorio Elijah will be presented at Hill Auditorium on Tuesday, July 27, at 7:30 p.m., by the Blue Lake International Youth Symphony Orchestra and International Choir, both having recently returned from three-week goodwill tours of Europe. Directed by German conductor Christoff von Kuezewski-Poray, the groups will be joined by the Blue Lake Alumni Choir. The Elijah performance is free and open to the public. A series of three 4X8 murals inspired by Elijah were specially created for this performance by Blue Lake students utilizing space at First Presbyterian Church. The murals have been on display in the church Social Hall and were also used during the Chancel Choir's performance of Elijah in May.
