Are you raising or ministering to teens or college students?

On September 11, First Presbyterian's Campus Ministry and the Youth Education and Ministries Committee will sponsor a seminar entitled “HURT: Inside the World of Today’s Teenagers,” presented by Chap Clark, Ph.D. Dr. Clark is a Vice Provost and Professor of Youth, Family, and Culture at Fuller Theological Seminary. He is also the founder of ParenTeen, an organization that provides seminars designed to equip parents to understand and nurture their children in a constantly changing cultural environment, and help them develop a more authentic and effective parenting strategy throughout the teen years and beyond. “(T)he seminar helps men and women to grapple with their own fears regarding our changing world, and allows for them to recognize and address how these fears get passed down the kids that God is calling each of us to serve, nurture, embrace, and love. Specific application strategies and tips will provide the hope that adults in today’s society so desperately need in learning how to serve this so highly misunderstood and abandoned generation” (www.parenteen.com). Dr. Clark will lead the seminar at First Presbyterian Church on Friday, September 11, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Cost is $10. Pre-registration is required. Call the church office at 662-4466 to make your reservation.
