Welcome to the Adult Education Program!  We invite you to participate in a rich array of Sunday presentations at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m., midweek classes on Wednesday evenings, and self-directed study groups.  Please join us for as many programs as you can! - The Adult Education Committee

 

SUNDAY MORNING CLASSES

The Reverend Ed Koster leads this group, currently taking an in-depth look at the book of Jeremiah. Join anytime!

11:00 AM ~ The Origins and Nature of Islam - Monteith Hall

This class, January 8 - February 26 (excluding Jan. 22), will provide an overview of the origins of Islam, its institutional features, and the main impulses for its historical success.  It will focus on the historical and religious contexts of Islam’s beginnings, on the figure of Muhammad in Mecca and Medina, the Quran, its teaching on Jews, Christians and the role of women, the development of law (sharia), and on prayer and the annual pilgrimage (hajj) among the pillars of the faith.  The class will be taught by Waldemar Schmeichel.

Also, join us on Wednesday nights for 242, starting on January 25th. Each Wednesday, you can enjoy a great meal at 6 p.m. followed by amazing adult education from pastors and lay leaders who love to teach the gospel, theology, and Biblical history.
