High School Ministry

“If we love one another, God abides in us, and God’s love is perfected in us.”
1 John 4:12

First Pres Ann Arbor nurtures teenagers’ spiritual growth through community, education, and fun. Events and activities center around learning about the Bible and what it means to be a young Christian in today’s society. High School Ministry offers Sunday School classes, a youth group, the opportunity to participate on national and international mission trips, involvement in inter-generational church activities, and much more, all under the amazing leadership offered by staff, youth leaders and teachers and fellow students.

Costa Rica Mission Trip

The Costa Rica Mission Trip is June 18-27, 2017. On Sunday, June 18, we fly from Detroit to San Jose where Jorge Zuniga, the Portantorchas Mission Coordinator, will meet us at the airport and transport us to the neighborhood of Grand Blanc. At night the team will stay in bunks with hot showers on a beautiful, secure campus. Our meals will be served in the main house. We will travel by motorbus to our worksites out in the community. As the end of the work week we will travel to Quepos on the Pacific Ocean and stay in a local hotel. We will swim on one of the world's most beautiful beaches and visit Manual Antonio National Park to see howler monkeys, sloths, caimans, and all kinds of birds. For more information, contact Rev. Jay Sanderford at jsanderford@firstpresbyterian.org, 662-4466, ext. 340.
