Learn About Preventing Falls

Did you know that 50% of people over 65 who fall do not fully recover? Come to our Hilltoppers (folks 60 and up) presentation, “It’s All About Balance: Preventing Falls,” on Thursday, August 20, at noon in the Social Hall. E. Marie Moore will lead the discussion and asks you to wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and bring a towel or mat if desired. Sign up in the Church Office or email. Martine Blogin, our parish nurse, mblogin@firstpresbyterian.org. A hot lunch is provided for $5.

Hilltoppers Happens!

Hilltoppers, our group for folks age 60 and up, goes to the movies on Monday, July 27, right here at First Pres. Join us at 10:00 a.m. in the Lewis Room to see "Little Miss Sunshine." Bring a brown bag lunch and stay for food and discussion after the film. We'll provide the beverage and dessert. Then, on Wednesday, July 29, join an excursion to the home of David and Marge Mastie just outside Chelsea, to tour their extensive gardens and enjoy a potluck lunch. We'll leave at 10:00 a.m. and return by 1:00 p.m. No cost for the trip, just bring a dish to pass.
