Pilgrimage to Iona

Next September seems far away; however, February 1 is just around the corner.  The deadline for signing up to join our three residents in a pilgrimage to this fabled community, often considered the cradle of Christianity in Scotland, is next week, February 1.  More information about the trip is available in the January A, 2010 First Press, or in the church building, or you may contact one of the residents at 662-4466.

Consider a Pilgrimage to Iona

An information meeting will be held at noon on Sunday, January 10, in the Lewis Room, for members and friends interested in going on a September pilgrimage to Iona, Scotland. Iona is a small island off the coast of Scotland where monastic communities have lived since 563. Today the Iona Community welcomes pilgrims from all over the world for worship together. To learn more, look for posters in the Welcome Center and lounge, or contact Revs. Jenny McDevitt, Matthew Nickel, or Sarah Wiles at the church, 734-662-4466.
